End of Week 4

Hi everyone,

Well that went fast! September is already in our rear-view mirror and we are already at the brink of Thanksgiving. 10% of the school year is over! The teachers and students are well into busy-ness of school work, and we are starting to prepare our first progress reports of the semester. These will be sent home on October 10 (Tuesday after the holiday weekend) and Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place Thursday October 19 from 5 - 7:30pm. They are by appointment only, and you will need to register using School Day (www.school-day.com). If you haven't yet registered for your free account, please be sure you do so that you can register your appointments. Students have been given access information with your unique code to link your account to your teen's information. Remember, we use this system for field trip permission forms, information items, payments, and more.

I hate to bang on the same note over and over, but another gentle and polite reminder about using the back parking lot for pickup and drop off. Please be sure not to pull into the lot and turn right into the staff parking area or to drop off right in front of the doors. We need to keep that area clear for safety. Please turn left and make a loop at the end of the building.

A reminder that we will have our second PA Day of the school year on Friday October 13. That means a very short week after the Thanksgiving Holiday. Perfect opportunity for your teens to spend the day raking leaves, cleaning eaves troughs, and getting the yard ready for winter. They could also help out a neighbour or relative to earn some volunteer hours.

Our teams and clubs are also humming along. WE Day and Cirque de Soleil trips went out today, and next week we have groups going on Retreat, going to Scanlon Creek, Bradford Valley, Tennis GBSSA Tournament, the Expo-Edit for Design, and many more. Thank you for supporting these activities!

Have a wonderful weekend, and God bless!
