End of Week 2
Published on Sep 15, 2017 18:08

Hello everyone,

We have experienced a week of beautiful weather that has kept everyone's spirits up. We hope you too are enjoying this late summer stretch. To borrow a phrase, "Winter is Coming."

After two weeks the students are well into their course work. Assignments, homework, tests and field trips are already starting to gear up, and everyone is busy with school. Please be sure to check in with your teen's teachers if you ever have any questions or concerns. They are your first point of contact and the source of any assistance or information you may require.

We are happy to inform you that our on-line pay system, School Day, is now up and ready to accept payments. We are sending home a letter with your teen that includes your unique and private access code. All you need to do is visit https://www.school-day.com and Register.

Then add your name, e-mail address and password to link your account to your teen's information. When school activities or events come up you will receive notification and a link to complete the permission and payments. Note that the system is completely secure, and the school does not get access to your banking information. As well, as a trusted partner with our board, School Day does not share or disclose your personal information. You will still have the option of paying by cheque or cash, but you still need an account with School Day to do so. At the point of payment, simply select "Cheque" or "Cash" as method of payment, print the order form and send it to school with your payment.

Our first Catholic School Community Council (aka Parent Council) meeting will take place Monday Sept. 18th at 6pm in the library. All are welcome!

We have a few calendar events coming up for your information:

- our new outdoors club will be taking an excursion to Scanlon Creek
- grade 9 activity day and our school movie day is the 20th
- picture retake day is the 25th
- students are attending WE Day in Toronto on the 28th
- French teachers and students are attending a Cirque de Soleil performance also on the 28th
- our first PA Day of the school year is Sept. 29th
- our fall teams are playing games and tournaments, as well as practicing daily

As always we thank you for your support of Catholic Education at Holy Trinity Catholic High School!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

God bless,

Brian McKenzie
