Israel Pilgrimage: An Exciting Opportunity
Published on Feb 23, 2017 08:10

Hi everyone, I am very excited to announce a new program offered at Holy Trinity Catholic High School and the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board: a for-credit pilgrimage to Israel. Offered in conjunction with Grade 12 Religion (HRE4M), this pilgrimage celebrates the core values of Catholic Education and promises to engage and enrich our learners as they witness the Gospel message in its fullest context. In this experiential approach, students will be able to bring to life their classroom experiences and faith development through dialogue, reflection and prayer. By walking in the footsteps of Jesus and guided by Scripture, we connect our journey of faith with Jesus himself and the Christian family. Students have two possible options for this program based on the number of students interested:

  • Concurrent Education (Saturday classes and online component,  March Break 2018 trip)
  • During regular school hours (April 2018 trip)

Please have a look at the flyer. We will be asking students for an expression of interest in the next few days via a Google survey form. We will send that out to parents as well through this e-mail tool.

There will be two information meetings for parents: the first on March 7th at Professional Activity Center (St. Joseph’s CHS), 243 Cundles Road East, Barrie, Ontario and the second on March 8th at Patrick Fogarty CHS, 15 Commerce Road, Orillia, Ontario.  Meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m. Please plan to attend one if you are interested in learning more about this wonderful opportunity. These meetings will provide more details and answer any questions you may have.

As always, thank you for your continued support of Catholic Education at Holy Trinity Catholic High School.
