Special Announcement -- Police Activity in Area

Hi everyone
We have received a few calls from parents letting us know that there is some sort of police activity in the Faris St. area that triggered a hold and secure order at Chris Hadfield Elementary School.
I have contacted South Simcoe Police directly and was told that there is no immediate need for our school to go into hold and secure but they will keep us informed if anything changes.
While we appreciate that parents may be concerned, we need to keep our phone lines clear so please hold off on calling the school for updates. If anything changes we will send immediate notification.
